Join us (and your new group of mom friends) every Wednesday at 10:30-11:30am at our new space in Livermore (1457 First Street), for a 10 week series from August 27th-October 29th.
Our Roots Series is designed with our youngest babies in mind.
One of our primary goals for this series (and really all of them) is to build a strong foundation for connecting with your baby and supporting their development through play.
Throughout the first 10 weeks you will learn beneficial positions for your baby to play in and how to engage them through developmentally appropriate play and songs.
Each class follows a similar structure:
Welcome songs and settling in
Music and Movement (developmentally appropriate songs and positions for your baby)
Developmental Topic with time to play and practice
High’s & Low’s- Time for moms to chat, share, breathe, and give/receive advice
Bubbles and Bye bye’s
The developmental topics that are covered in our Roots class include:
Introduction to purposeful play: The power of observation & how to communicate with your baby
Positioning in play: Setting baby up for a strong body & healthy head shape
Building a strong foundation for language development
Mastering tummy time
Visual development & encouraging through play
Gas & Reflux: Strategies for a more comfortable babe
Oral motor development: When to introduce teethers, midline development, and exploration
Body awareness: Brain-body connection through language and touch/infant massage
Rolling 101: Setting the stage for mobility
